It does not matter if you are driving through the streets of New York or in a neighboring state, you are well aware that an auto accident can happen at any time. This holds true for cars, trucks, and other types of vehicles.
According to local police, five people, four of whom were NYPD auxiliary officers, were taken to a hospital for treatment following an auto accident in Queens.
Police noted that the four officers were traveling west in a police vehicle on 73rd Avenue when it was involved in an accident with a sedan traveling north on 172nd Street. All of the people involved in the accident were taken to Booth Memorial Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. At this time, it is unclear as to how the two vehicles came into contact with one another.
This story shows just how important it is for everybody driving a vehicle to be cautious at all times. Even police who have formal training on the road can be involved in an accident if they are not careful.
In the case of this auto accident, five people were injured, including four NYPD auxiliary officers who were traveling in the same vehicle. As a result, each person was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
At this point, there is no further information on what caused the accident, however, this does not change the fact that some people were injured. If injured in a car accident, it is within the person’s rights to consult with a personal injury attorney, as several possible clams for damages may be applicable to your case.
